Situated in an uplifting landscape with panoramic views over the Tywi Valley and beyond towards the Black Mountain and Carreg Cennen, this Georgian stone walled farmhouse has been restored, furnished and decorated to a very high standard by the owners Colin and Jacquie Rouse.
The comfortable bedrooms have many thoughtful extras and the lounge is well stocked with information, books and games. You can relax at the elm table over a sumptuous award winning breakfast with ingredients from their own livestock or the best of local produce. Restore your spirits in the mature and tranquil gardens of approximately two acres (the orchards are carpeted in succession by snowdrops, wild daffodils and bluebells in the spring) where you can enjoy the company of Brecon Buff geese, Welsh Harlequin ducks, Norfolk Bronze turkeys or chase the free-range hens that lay for your breakfast.
Allt y Golau Farmhouse is approximately ten minutes drive from both the National Botanic Garden of Wales and Aberglasney Gardens and has the heritage of the Tywi valley, the garden of Wales, at it’s doorstep.
